They're extra strong 1-3/4" O.D. aluminum with a 1/8" thick wall, but extremely lightweight for easy handling. Easily assembled with spring button connectors. Our screens can be disassembled in minutes for storage. The black net slips over the frame, like a pillowcase, using a double thickness of #42 twine netting. Easy assembly.
